I can see this being less than 1 ad per ad group. I just don’t think that it is worth it and I’d rather see the ad group at least have 2 ads per ad group and only 1 ad per ad group. I know that is a bit extreme, but I see this as a way to save money.
If you have a large ad group, then they should probably be placed in the top three or four spots. I understand that the size of the ad group is a factor in how much they cost, but if they’re all so large that having them in the middle or bottom spots would cause them to be placed in the top spots, I think it would be a bad idea.
I feel like that this idea might be counter-productive because by putting ads in the top spots, they’re going to be harder to find, but I’m not sure that’s a bad thing. The number of ads might just be too large to make a difference. The one thing that I do agree with is that if you want to see ads, you should have a way to see them.
Maybe I just don’t have an ad network that has a good method for seeing ads, but if they do, I think it would be a good idea. It would make it easier for users to find them. Also, it would make them more interactive, as well as making it easier for users to decide if they want to see an ad.
The number of ads shouldn’t be too large. If we go with the simple method of “every ad group should have an ad and then add an ‘every other ad group should have an ad’” then we lose out on a lot of the things that would be good to have.
