In addition, it allows you to host more than one website at a time, so that you can have multiple blog websites or blogs that you can use on your site.

The one downside is that you will need to be willing to install a few plugins on your WordPress.com to get the extra features.

No plugins are required for the site builder, so I will not mention them all.
